Muslin Moth
Diaphora mendica (72.022)
The Muslin Moth is a widespread and reasonablly common moth in Warwickshire. It occurs in a range of habitats including woodlands, railway cuttings and gardens. The female is pure white and can be seen flying during the day while the brown male tends to fly at night and is often encountered in moth traps. Both are marked with a light scattering of black spots.
The Muslin Moth is on the wing from mid-April to mid-June.
